SOLINTEL M&P is a high-tech SME specialized in engineering and consulting. Its goal is to satisfy, in an effective way, the necessities of the environment on engineering, innovation, and energetic efficiency within residential and industrial processes. It has extensive experience in the application of Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) into the modelling of industrial processes and equipment, including expertise in fluid.

Juan Manuel MIERES holds a MEng Civil Engineering from theUniversidad Politécnica de Madrid. Juan Manuel Mieres is the general manager and a partner of Solintel, a company specialised in engineering and R&D consulting in the construction and energy sector. He was also the R&D Director at Acciona between 1994-2009 where he managed a team of 180 professionals with a budget of € 47 million per annum. Additionally, he was appointed construction project manager for Iberdrola, managing projects such as the Tera river dam. He was chosen head of the construction planning department for the EXPO 92 and has worked as head of tendering and quotations with a total proposal value of € 4.450 M and a total contract value of € 550 M. Juan Manuel Mieres has collaborated as an engineering consultant in more than 150 international construction projects in subjects such as project management, construction procedures and material technology. Juan Manuel has participated and coordinated over 50 R&D projects at European and national levels and seven CENIT projects, including the coordination of one of them named PROMETEO, with a budget of over € 30 Million.
Carlos González de Ubieta is a senior consultant and project manager with a relevant experience in economic, regulatory and commercial analysis for infrastructure and engineering projects. Carlos is MSc. in Environmental Management, Superior Graduate in International Business, and Bachelor in Law, specialized in Company & International Law. As a project manager, Mr. González de Ubieta has conducted many projects and analysis related to turnaround (restructuring) projects in key business enterprises, sector and regional competitiveness. Previous experience is related to territorial planning for industrial and logistics companies. He also has experience in topics related to renewable energies, infrastructure masterplanning and feasibility analysis of tech-parks, wind-parks, logistic areas, etc. Actually Mr. González de Ubieta manages several R & D projects for SOLINTEL related to energy efficiency in buildings, facilities and districts.
Javier Royo is an engineer that works inside SOLINTEL’s Research and Development Department. He recently graduated with honors obtaining the best senior engineering design project at Idaho State University (USA). He is bilingual in both Spanish and English. Mr. Royo obtained his Engineer Intern Licensure from the National Council of Examiners for Engineering and Surveying (NCEES) after passing the Fundamentals of Engineering National Exam (FE).He is currently obtaining a Master’s Degree with special focus on structures and materials in order to increase his expertise on composite materials and their application to construction. Mr. Royo is currently working on the composite materials properties characterization and he is doing research on new test methods for those materials. Mr. Royo is part of the team that designs reinforcements and structural parts for old and new constructions on composite materials and he is also researching using the latest composite material application techniques.
